Inspectors thrashed by Asians while confiscating spoilt food

KUWAIT CITY, May 24:: An officer and an inspector from the Kuwait Municipality were injured when a group of Asians assaulted them while they were tracking down hawkers in Hassawi, reports Al-Shahed daily.
It has been reported the officer sustained a head injury as the Asians ganged up on him and the inspector when they confiscated the spoilt food products being sold in the area.  He was referred to a nearby hospital. 
The Asians were referred to the concerned security department for questioning and other necessary legal action.

Cartridges seized: The Jahra police recently foiled an attempt by Arab expatriates to smuggle bullet rounds outside the country, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to reports the police have seized 300 cartons containing 84,000 rounds of cartridges used for hunting birds.
The daily added three Egyptians who were taken into custody said they had no idea what the cartons contained.
They added they were hired to take the consignment from one store to another store. Police interrogations are continuing.

Lebanese cheated: A Lebanese has filed a complaint at Bayan Police Station against an Egyptian who allegedly swindled him to the tune of KD1,500, reports Al-Rai daily.
The complainant told police that he asked the Egyptian to rent a villa in South Mishref for him and gave him KD1,500 in advance.  However, he did not hear anything from the Egyptian for a long time and when he called him his mobile phone was off.
A case was registered and police are now looking for the suspect.
