KUWAIT CITY, June 1: The Ministry of Interior continued their impromptu security campaigns against illegal residency and other negative phenomena in the country.
In a press statement issued by the Ministry of Interior, the ministry revealed that a security campaign led by Security Director of Ahmadi Governorate Brigadier Abdul-Latif Al-Wuhaib was carried out in Wafra at Ahmadi Governorate.
Security officials arrested 180 illegal residents and domestic law violators, some of whom were wanted by law for their involvement in several cases. They were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
During the campaign, security officials verified the details on the individuals’ identity cards to check for illegal residents.
Several security sectors affiliated to the Interior Ministry participated in this campaign, including a team from Security Media Department.
Brigadier Al-Wuhaib revealed that several measures have been adopted to control the security in all areas and take necessary action against any negative phenomena in the country.
