Kuwaiti woman escapes abduction

KUWAIT CITY, June 12: Police are looking for an unidentified person driving a red American car for attempting to kidnap a female Kuwaiti employee of a beauty parlor in Al-Riqei, reports Al-Rai daily.
In her complaint to the Andalus Police Station the victim said the man surprised her from behind and tried to force her into his vehicle.
She added, when she screamed for help, he escaped.
An eyewitness managed to note down the plate number of the vehicle and informed the police.

Bleeding Ethiopian found: A bleeding Ethiopian expatriate was found in a livestock pen in Kabad recently and was referred to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment by paramedics.
Paramedics, along with securitymen rushed to the location when the Operations Room at Ministry of Interior received information about the bleeding victim.
Initial investigations revealed that he sustained head injuries when an unknown person assaulted him during a quarrel.  Further investigations are ongoing to find the suspect and know the cause of the quarrel.

Suicide attempted: An Ethiopian man has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Mubarak Al-Kabir hospital following a void attempt to end his life by swallowing a poisonous substance, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the man was rushed to the hospital by paramedics after the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry received a call from the Ethiopian embassy. According to security sources the victim was inside the embassy compound when he fell unconscious.
According to medical sources, the man’s health condition is critical. The substance is said to have affected his brain. In the meantime a case of attempted suicide has been registered against him.
