Youth flees rape bid by friends Bedoun stabbed, car stolen

KUWAIT CITY, June 13: Three youths were recently arrested for attempting to sexually assault their friend in Jahra.
Reportedly, police on patrol in Jahra was surprised to find a juvenile running with fear and shouting for help. When they stopped to investigate, the juvenile told them he managed to escape from three of his friends who kidnapped him and tried to assault him sexually.
The patrol officers immediately called other patrol officers for backup and managed to arrest the three youths.
According to security sources, the victim informed securitymen that he and his friends were on their way to their school in a vehicle to receive their exam results. However, they changed their route to an isolated area behind a commercial complex where they attempted to assault him sexually.
A case was registered against the suspects and they were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.

Bedoun stabbed: A Bedoun youth registered a case against his friend accusing the latter of kidnapping and stabbing him, and stealing his vehicle.
According to security sources, the victim complained to securitymen that based on a long-standing dispute between him and his friend, the latter barged into his vehicle in Sulaibiya holding a knife and forced him to drive to Firdous where he stabbed the victim and escaped with the vehicle.
The victim submitted a medical report indicating the stab wounds and a case was registered against the suspect. Investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspect.

5 hurt in mishaps: Five people including two Kuwaiti citizens sustained injuries in traffic accidents that occurred on Wednesday.
Two Kuwaiti citizens sustained injuries following the collision of two vehicles in Shuwaikh. Paramedics rushed to the location and referred them to Sabah Hospital for treatment.
A 32-year-old Egyptian expatriate sustained injuries when a speeding vehicle in Salmiya knocked him down. Paramedics referred him to Mubarak Hospital for treatment.
In a similar incident, a Nepali woman sustained serious injuries when she was hit by a speeding vehicle in Hawally. Paramedics referred her to Mubarak Hospital for treatment.
A paramedic assistant sustained minor injuries when an ambulance collided with a National Guard vehicle on Sabhan Road. He was revived at the location.
