‘Lovers’ caught in car; Man swindles wife

KUWAIT CITY, June 13: Police have arrested an Arab man and a woman of the same nationality for indulging in immoral activities, reports Al-Anba daily.
They were caught making love inside a car behind a building in Salmiya.
The arrest came when the caretaker of the building saw them making love and called Operations Department of the Interior Ministry.
Patrolmen rushed to the spot, caught the two lovers in the act, and referred them to the authorities.

Man swindles wife: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Salhiya Police Station accusing her compatriot husband of swindling her, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The woman said her husband convinced her to sign on blank promissory notes and after he sold the house did not give her any money.
To the contrary he used the promissory notes to cheat her. Meanwhile, the wife has also filed a lawsuit at the Palace of Justice asking for divorce from the man.

Illegal entry bid foiled
: Passport officers at the Kuwaiti International Airport have arrested two Bangladeshis for attempting to enter the country using forged passports, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. They have been referred to concerned authorities.

Drugs dumped in field: Police are looking for an unidentified person for dumping a quantity of hashish in an open ground near the Al-Nuwaiseeb border post, reports Al-Shahed daily.
It has been reported the drugs were spotted by a police dog. It is believed the person was attempting to smuggle the drugs into the country and at the last minute got rid of them.

Revenge of friend: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti woman for impersonating another woman, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to the daily the arrest came when the woman (her friend) filed a complaint accusing the suspect of posting her pictures on the social networking website Facebook.
Investigations conducted by securitymen led to identifying the owner of the page who admitted to the charge.
She said she did this to take revenge on her friend following a fight between them.

Woman punches salesman: An unidentified salesman working for cell phones shop has filed a complaint with the police accusing a Kuwaiti woman of insulting and assaulting him, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the complainant the woman requested the victim to update applications in her cell phone and returned to the shop after half an hour.
The woman reportedly lost her temper when she discovered the employee had formatted the card and as a result all the stored data was lost.
She then reportedly punched the man in the face and hit him with the handbag, insulted him and escaped.
The complainant has submitted a medical report and provided police the car plate number of the woman. Police will summon the woman for questioning.

‘Magician’ arrested: The Committee for Propagating the Virtue and Prevention of Vice in Saudi Arabia has recently arrested a 65-year-old Kuwaiti for practicing sorcery, reports Al-Horriya daily.
According to committee members the old man claimed he had powers to cure cancer, paralysis and other diseases. He also claimed he could repair cars with the touch of a hand.
The magician reportedly received large sums of money from his victims following which a trap was set for him and arrested.
