Callousness of a medical employee leads to death of Indian woman
KUWAIT CITY, June 16: The callousness of a medical employee at a maternity hospital in Kuwait led to the death of an Indian woman, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Reportedly, when the victim felt severe pain in her stomach, she went to the hospital and in order to undergo certain urgent medical tests, the doctor sent her to the records section to open a file.
However, the employee at the section refused to open a file for the victim, reasoning that the victim did not require urgent procedures and to carry out the normal procedures, the victim had to submit her marriage contract.
In spite of the nursing staff’s attempt to convince the employee to follow the urgent procedures to open the file due to the seriousness of the victim’s medical condition, the employee refused to budge.
Eventually, the victim died due to the presence of a large tumor in her stomach.
Liquor peddlers sought: Police are on the lookout for a few unknown expatriates for trafficking in local liquor, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Reportedly, police on patrol in Capital Governorate noticed a few expatriates attempting to break open the window of a vehicle parked along Al-Soor Street opposite Ministry of Information.
When they noticed the police approaching them, they managed to run away. When police checked the vehicle, they found 40 bottles of local liquor inside.
Officers from Criminal Evidence Department arrived at the location to lift fingerprints from the vehicle to identify the culprits. Investigations are ongoing to find the owner of the vehicle.
3 kg drugs seized: Two unidentified individuals were recently arrested in Jahra for possession of three kilograms of hashish, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Reportedly, when police on patrol in Jahra suspected the individuals and asked them to stop for investigations, they sped away in a vain attempt to escape from the police. However, they were caught and three kilograms of hashish were found in their vehicle.
The suspects and the drugs were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
Trio held with liquor: Three GCC nationals were recently arrested for attempting to smuggle bottles of different types of imported alcohol into the country, reports Al-Anba daily.
Reportedly, Customs officers at Kuwait International Airport found 30 bottles of imported alcohol while they were checking the bags of the suspects.
They were referred to Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police station along with the 30 bottles for necessary legal action against them.
