3 held selling used revenue stamps

KUWAIT CITY, June 18: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department have arrested three Asians for selling revenue stamps. They were taken into custody from public institutions in Hawalli, reports Al-Qabas daily.
A security source said the detectives spotted two Asians in front of a government office in Hawalli and reportedly caught them red-handed.
During interrogation they admitted to removing the stamps from old transactions and said they worked in collusion with another person.
Police then raided the home of this person and caught him in possession of a large number of old revenue stamps.

Biker creates havoc: Police  arrested and later released an unidentified young female student of a foreign university for reckless driving and endangering the lives of other motorists, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to security sources the woman was caught driving a motorbike without a licence.
The student, whose nationality has not been disclosed, said she borrowed the motorbike from her colleague. She also said riding motorbike is her hobby.
The security sources said patrolmen chased the biker for speeding and reckless driving and after the rider removed the crash helmet, they discovered it was a woman.
The student and her colleague were released after they signed pledges of good conduct.

Pharmacy hit: Police are looking for an unidentified person for breaking into a pharmacy in Salmiya and stealing money and medicine worthy KD 5,000, reports Al-Rai daily.
In his complaint to the police the Egyptian pharmacist said the burglar entered the pharmacy by breaking the front door and escaped with KD 1,686 from the cash machine and medicine worth KD 3,164. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
