Iranian caught with ‘tools’ to forge 1000 dollar notes ‘No Syrian Baathists arrested in Kuwait’
KUWAIT CITY, June 19: An Iranian passenger was detained at Shuwaikh Port for attempting to smuggle papers and materials used for forging 1000-dollar notes.
According to a security source, Customs officers at Shuwaikh Port found the illicit items when they checked the luggage of the suspect.
During interrogations, the suspect revealed that he brought the items for an unknown person in Kuwait. He was referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations and necessary legal action against him.
Asian held for drugs: An Asian expatriate was recently arrested for drug intake and trafficking. According to sources, when the Directorate General for Drug Control received information about the suspect selling drugs, a team was formed for investigations.
A warrant was then obtained from the concerned authorities to search his apartment and arrest him.
The suspect was found in his apartment under the influence of drugs and he was immediately arrested. They also found 100gms of heroin, 30 grams of ‘Shabwa’ and 500 narcotic pills in his apartment.
During interrogations, the suspect admitted that he obtained the drugs for intake and trade from an unknown person.
He was referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
Report denied: A security source from Ministry of Interior informed Al-Seyassah daily newspaper that the news regarding the arrest of three Syrian Baathists in Kuwait is false.
He said certain media sources and online websites recently published false news regarding the arrest of three Syrian and Lebanese nationals belonging to the Syrian Baath regime for planning to execute political murders in the Arab countries.
‘Brother missing’: A GCC national filed a case at Taima police station stating that his brother is missing, as he did not return home since few days.
The security sources said the missing victim’s brother feared if something wrong happened to him, saying the latter did not answer his cell phone when they contacted him several times.
Securitymen are carrying out investigations to find the missing person.
