KUWAIT CITY, June 20: A Kuwaiti citizen was recently arrested in Salmiya for possession of three kilograms of hashish.
According to security sources, when securitymen from Salmiya police station received information that a Kuwaiti citizen is involved in drug trafficking, they carried out necessary investigations to confirm the information.
The suspect was arrested in Salmiya and referred with the illicit items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal procedures.

140 bottles seized: Two Asian expatriates were recently arrested in Mangaf for possession of local liquor.
According to security sources, when police on patrol in Mangaf suspected the two Asians and stopped them for investigations, they found 140 bottles of local liquor.
The suspects and the liquor were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.

Arab expat mugged: An Arab national lodged a complaint against three unknown individuals accusing them of stopping him in the area between Khaitan and Farwaniya, assault him and steal his money and cell phone before escaping.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspects.

Suspect detained: An Asian expatriate was arrested recently in Al-Salam area for possession of items suspected to be drugs.
The items, which were referred to the concerned authorities for identification, were suspected to be hashish and heroin.
The concerned authorities have detained the suspect until the results of the test are obtained.

Youth stabbed: A youth was seriously injured when he was stabbed during a quarrel among a group of Jordanian and Syrian youths in Salmiya.
Paramedics rushed to the location and referred him to the Intensive Care Unit of Mubarak Hospital.
However, the other youths escaped before the authorities arrived at the location. A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to find and arrest them.
