Bangladeshi nabbed for stealing cables from MEW’s project

KUWAIT CITY, June 20: The Jahra police have arrested a Bangladeshi man for stealing copper cables worth KD 10,000 from a project belonging to the Ministry of Electricity and Water in Subbiya, reports Al-Dar daily.
Following a complaint filed by the man in charge, police intensified their search for the thieves and caught one of the men.
During interrogation the thief admitted to selling the cables to four compatriots in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh. Police are looking for the gang members.

Lost shepherd rescued: The Jahra police rescued an unidentified Asian shepherd who had allegedly lost his way in the desert while grazing his cattle, reports Al-Rai daily.
The sponsor informed the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry when he did not find the shepherd particularly since there were no signs of the man absconding because all his belongings and even money was in tact in his room.
Patrolmen combed the desert and found the Asian after two hours. His condition was pathetic and he was thirsty.
During interrogation he said he lost his way when he was looking for a lost sheep.

Woman harassed: Police have arrested an unidentified person for harassing a Kuwaiti woman, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police patrol on routine duty near the Sulaibikhat Cooperative Society noticed a motorist blocking a car of a Kuwaiti woman and thought it was a traffic accident.
As soon as the police approached the car, the woman requested help and said the man was harassing her and tried to open the door of her car by force.
The man denied the accusation and claimed the driver spat on him.

Two caught drunk:
The Ahmadi police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti motorist and a compatriot for consuming alcohol. They have been referred to the authorities, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police patrol in Jaber Al-Ali noticed a reckless driver and demanded him to pull over and while checking his documents an officer found the man and his friend in the passenger seat were drunk.
Both men are believed to be in their 20s. Police have allegedly seized a bottle of alcohol from their car.

Eardrum damaged:
A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station accusing her husband of perforating her eardrum with a slap following an argument between them, reports Al-Anba daily. The wife has submitted a medical report to substantiate her claim. The husband will be summoned for questioning.
