30 juveniles bash up 2 expats in amusement arcade
KUWAIT CITY, June 23: Two expatriates sustained severe injuries when more than 30 Kuwaiti juveniles assaulted them inside an amusement arcade in Hawally.
The Kuwaiti youths vandalized the amusement arcade by smashing the wall glass and destroying the furniture and computers.
When the owner of the arcade made a distress call to the Operations Room of Interior Ministry, Hawally securitymen rushed to the location; however, the youths escaped before they arrived.
The two injured victims were referred to Mubarak Hospital for treatment. The surveillance camera installed inside the arcade captured the incident and the records were submitted to the security officials.
They reviewed the scene from the records and discovered that when one of the suspects was abusing and irritating one of the victims while he was playing, the latter pushed the suspect aside. This aggravated the suspect, who called his friends to the arcade and assaulted the victim and his friend.
A case was registered at Hawally police station and securitymen summoned a few suspects for interrogations and investigations.
Expats in fight: A few expatriates were arrested for their involvement in a quarrel that occurred among a group of expatriates in Farwaniya.
