We lived in Kuwait from 1993 to 2011. My children were born in Kuwait. Our visas expired in October 2010 and we exited on June 25, 2011. How can we apply for the visa now? My husband is still in Kuwait. We are Pakistanis.

Answer: You can’t apply for any sort of visa as issuance of any type of visas is banned for Pakistanis and this has been the case for nearly three years now.
So, you - like thousands of other Pakistanis who are stuck outside the country due to expiry of their visas - will have to wait until this ban is lifted.
We really don’t know when this will happen although the Foreign Minister of Pakistan is said to have requested his Kuwaiti counterpart to lift the ban. The Pakistani Embassy in Kuwait is also said to have made similar requests to the Kuwait govt.
Whether their requests will be accepted or not is hard to predict. All you, and others whose families have been split due to this ban, can do is wait to a positive response from the Kuwait govt.
