Top officer probed for allowing banned nationalities enter Kuwait
KUWAIT CITY, June 27: The Ministry of Interior is interrogating a senior officer working in the office of the minister for helping the Lebanese and Iranians to enter Kuwait, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily added there is an entry ban on people of certain countries including Iran and Lebanon and the officer is reportedly helping them in violation of the law.
A source from the ministry said interrogations are continuing and a report is expected to be submitted to the minister immediately after his return to Kuwait.
It has also been reported the officer is a new appointee in the office of the minister.
Detention of ex-MP ordered: The Public Prosecutor has ordered the detention of former MP Abdulhameed Dashti for allegedly issuing a dud cheque for KD 600,000, reports Annahar daily
The detention order was issued following a lawsuit filed by attorney Adel Al-Qurban.
Dashti was reportedly interrogated for six hours prior to his detention.
