Woman accuses ex-husband of rape Illegal woman harbouring ‘runaways’
KUWAIT CITY, June 27: A 21-year-old woman has filed a complaint with the Rumaithiya Police Station accusing her ex-husband of ‘raping’ her, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The complainant said the suspect requested to meet her to solve an old issue. She went with him in his car and on the way they were again involved in an argument.
To take revenge the ex-husband then drove to a remote place and had sex with her against her will.
The ex-husband will be summoned for questioning.
UK woman held driving drunk: Securitymen from the Salmiya Police Station have arrested a British woman for driving under the influence of alcohol, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to security sources the woman was ordered to pull over for reckless driving and endangering the lives of other road users.
However, she ignored police orders and continued driving. Police chased the woman and forced her to stop.
When a police officer walked over to the car and demanded to see the documents of the woman behind the wheel, he got the smell of alcohol.
Initial reports say the woman was high on alcohol. It has also been reported the woman resisted police when she reached the police station.
Youth in bid to woo divorcee: A divorced woman has filed a complaint with the Criminal Investigations Department accusing a young man of blackmailing her, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the complainant the relationship with the youth became intimate but when she discovered he was just passing his time and was not serious about the relationship, she dumped him.
Moreover, she said she discovered the bad intentions of the youth because he always insisted that they should meet in a rented apartment.
Following this the youth began to blackmail her saying he will publish her pictures on the website and also the conversation they had together.
The woman added the young man again tried to convince her to meet him in an apartment and a friend advised her to file a complaint with the police.
Illegal woman harbouring ‘runaways’: The Farwaniya police recently raided three locations and arrested a number of Asians for stealing telephone lines and offering illegal overseas call services, reports Al-Kuwaitiah daily.
Police have reportedly confiscated many computers and communication devices from the illegal services providers and referred them to the authorities.
The same police raided an apartment and took into custody a 60-year-old Asian woman for violating residence.
It has been reported she was staying in the country illegally since 2009 and running the apartment for sheltering run-away housemaids and others whose residence permits have expired.
Police have also arrested several women from her apartment reported absconding by their respective sponsors.
