‘Municipality staff not taking work seriously’ Minister requests other ministries for cooperation
KUWAIT CITY, June 28: State Minister for Municipality Affairs Ahmad Al-Sabeeh says the Municipal Council is annoyed with the performance of the Municipality staff, as they are not taking their work seriously, adding that he had to assign all his agents and heads of departments to finish all pending transactions, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
He implored the Municipality staff to double their efforts in executing transactions and projects particularly during the summer period, so that the reputation of the Municipality is not affected by any case of negligence or failure.
He issued the decision to allow his assigned team to complete the transactions without committing themselves to a session-based routine that will disrupt the operation.
He revealed that he requested other ministries to cooperate with him in facilitating the operation.
He also disclosed that he queried the Head of Municipal Council regarding the delay of 67 incomplete transactions; however, he claimed he did not receive any response to the query yet.
He said the pending transactions include the demand of Ministry of Commerce and Industry for a location in Shuwaikh Free Trade Zone and the demand of Ministry of Education for locations in Al-Ahmad and Jahra to construct schools.
