Maid swallows pills in suicide bid
KUWAIT CITY, June 28: A Nepali housemaid has been admitted to a hospital following a vain attempt to end her life by swallowing a large quantity of medicine pills after hearing the news about the death of her father, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources the family called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior when they found the maid unconscious in her room with medicine pills all over the place.
Maid thief: Police are looking for an African housemaid for stealing KD 400 and jewelry worth KD 10,000 belonging to a Kuwaiti family living in Sabah Al-Salem, reports Al-Rai daily.
A complaint has been filed with the area police station.
