2 Bangladeshis nabbed Asian woman falls to death in flee bid from Arab captor
KUWAIT CITY, July 2: An Asian housemaid recently committed suicide at her sponsor’s house in Qadsiya.
Reportedly, when the victim was found hanging by a rope from the ceiling, securitymen were notified.
They rushed to the location along with firefighters and paramedics and managed to take down the body.
The corpse was referred to the Forensics Department for autopsy.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to know the cause of the suicide.
Woman falls to death: An unidentified Asian woman fell to her death from the seventh floor balcony of an apartment in Farwaniya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources the apartment belongs to an Egyptian man and he and his friend lured the two women to their apartment to have sex with them.
However, they were involved in an argument after which the friend left and the Egyptian locked the women inside his apartment.
The women then tied bed covers and attempted to enter the sixth floor balcony but one of them succeeded and the other fell to the ground.
The Egyptian has been arrested and the police are looking for the friend.
Indian kills himself: An Indian man, whose identity has not been disclosed, allegedly ended his life by hanging himself with a rope inside his apartment in Fahaheel, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The death was reported to the police by the man’s roommate. When paramedics and police rushed to the spot they found the man dangling with a rope around his neck.
The remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics. Police are investigating the cause of suicide.
Bedouns in drug running: Police have arrested two bedoun youth for trafficking in drugs, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to security sources police acting on information put the suspects under surveillance and sent a police agent to buy two kilos of hashish from the suspects.
Police then set a trap for the men and caught them in the act. According to the security sources the men had agreed to sell two kilos of hashish to the agent worth KD 3,000.
However, when police arrested them they had carried with them only one kilo. Police then raided their home at an unidentified location and seized one more kilo of hashish.
During interrogation the men said they were working for an inmate of the Central Prison. Police investigations are continuing to identify the inmate.
Egyptian seeks justice: An Egyptian man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has appealed to the Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmad Al-Hmoud to help him restore his rights from his Kuwaiti sponsor, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The Egyptian, identified as Mohammad Aref Mahmoud, said he has been living in Kuwait for more than 15 years and abided by the laws of the country.
He added after his contract with the current sponsor ended, he requested for a release to allow him to transfer to another sponsor and the man refused.
The Egyptian said he filed a complaint with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, which summoned the sponsor and ordered him to approve the transfer and also to pay full end of service indemnities.
Because the sponsor is influential, he filed an absconding report against him. He was arrested and sent to the deportation center, where he is an inmate for the past two months.
2 Bangladeshis nabbed: Immigration officers at the Kuwait International Airport have arrested two Bangladeshis – one for attempting to enter the country on forged passport and the other because he was wanted by law, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
They have been handed over to the concerned authorities.
