KUWAIT CITY, July 9: Securitymen from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested five women — four Moroccan and a Filipino — for practicing sorcery and indulging in immoral activities, reports Al-Rai daily.
A police source said the women work at a beauty parlor in Abu Halifa and offered services to a Kuwaiti woman. They claimed through black magic they could help the woman get a nice job and also predicted her future.
After the woman reported the incident to the Criminal Investigations Department, police put the suspects under surveillance for two weeks and caught them in the act when they offered their services to a female police agent.

Cabbie stabbed, robbed: Police are looking for four unidentified youths for stabbing and robbing an Asian taxi driver, reports Al-Rai daily.
In his complaint the driver said one of the suspects hired his taxi from Shuwaikh. When he reached Qairawan the youth asked him to stop and as he pulled over he was mobbed by three other youths.
One of them who was armed with a knife stabbed him and escaped with his cell phone and wallet while the others beat him. The victim has submitted a medical report issued by the Farwaniya Hospital.
Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints from the car.
