‘Rising number of rape cases to morally wreck generations’ Tough punishment sought for child molesters
KUWAIT CITY, July 10: Head of Kuwait Association for Ideal Family System Sheikha Furaiha Al-Ahmad condemned the increase in molestation cases in the community, adding that such kind of actions have evoked restlessness among people in the community particularly families, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
Sheikha Furaiha lamented that cases related to sexual solicitation, assault and rape are increasing to such an extent that it will lead to a morality crisis for the future generations if appropriate measures are not taken to prevent or curb this phenomenon.
She stressed that tough punishment should be imposed on anyone who commits such crimes, which should in turn deter any citizen or expatriate with the intention of molesting a child or a youth.
She insisted on implementation of background check on expatriate workers who enter the country without a good conduct certificate, adding that the violations could be from labor offices that are importing laborers from other countries without checking the background.
Sheikha Furaiha called on media to spread awareness to everyone in the country for safeguarding the community from such crimes.
