Police arrest Egyptian man for drugs Boy dies while playing soccer
KUWAIT CITY, July 13: An Egyptian expatriate was arrested recently in Adan for consumption and possession of drugs.
Reportedly, when police on patrol in Adan noticed a vehicle parked in a lot, they approached the vehicle to find a person sitting inside.
When they asked him for his civil ID, they discovered that he was intoxicated and when they checked his vehicle they found the drugs.
He was referred to the concerned authorities with the illicit items for necessary legal action against him.
13-year-old boy dies: The remains of a 13-year-old boy who died while playing soccer with a friend in Fintas have been referred to Forensics, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources after the teen collapsed on the playground, he was rushed to the polyclinic in Fahaheel for first aid and then rushed to the Adan Hospital where he died.
A case has been registered at the Fintas Police Station.
Speeding motorist kills man: A 60-year-old Syrian died when a speeding vehicle knocked him down in the Sulaibikhat junction, going towards Doha, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Eyewitnesses revealed the victim was crossing the road when the vehicle hit him. Paramedics and securitymen rushed to the scene after receiving information on the incident but they could no longer do anything to revive the Syrian.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to identify the driver of the speeding vehicle and take the necessary legal action against the suspect.
