Mother, aunt force girl into prostitution Egyptian stabs compatriot six times, escapes with KD 15,000

KUWAIT CITY, July 13: Police are looking for an unidentified Egyptian man for stabbing his 40-year-old compatriot and stealing his money, reports Al-Kuwaitiah daily.

The daily quoting security sources said the incident happened on the Seventh Ring Road.

When passersby saw the man bleeding by the roadside, they called the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior.

Paramedics and police rushed to the site and rushed the man to the intensive care unit of the Farwaniya Hospital.

During interrogation by the hospital investigator, the victim pointed a finger at his compatriot. He added the man stabbed him six times and escaped with KD 15,000.

The details of the man have been circulated at all exit points and police patrols.

Girl pushed into flesh trade: A young woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the police accusing her mother and aunt of luring her into prostitution, reports Al-Rai daily.

In her complaint to the Sabah Al-Salem Police Station the girl said the mother and aunt beat her because she refused to meet young men and bring money.

A case has been registered against the two women. They will be summoned for interrogation.

Guns found with soldier:

An unidentified US soldier was referred for interrogation after the Kuwait International Airport authorities caught him carrying guns in his suitcase, reports Al-Rai daily.

Without going into details the daily said the guns were not loaded.

 

Driver held with hashish: Police have arrested an unidentified Egyptian driver of a company for possessing hashish, reports Annahar daily.

According to security sources the man was taken into custody in Khaitan.

Security sources said the man was ordered to pull over for violating traffic laws and when an officer walked to the man and demanded to see ID, he felt the man looked confused.

Police then checked his vehicle and found hashish hidden under the seat of the car.

Bullet hits officer: An unidentified security officer had a miraculous escape from death when a bullet was accidentally fired from his service revolver and pierced his thigh, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.

According to security sources the incident happened when the victim was on duty.

The daily added he was preparing to go on inspection tour when the incident happened.

He was rushed to a hospital by his colleague where his medical condition is believed to be stable.

Several senior officials from the ministry visited the victim in the hospital and wished him fast recovery.

In the meantime, customary investigations into the incident are going on.

MoI employee drunk: In what is seen as an unprecedented incident in Kuwait, an unidentified employee of the Ministry of Interior is taken into custody for reporting to work under the influence of alcohol, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily quoting security sources said, when the co-workers noticed the abnormal behavior of the man, they reported the incident to their superior.

After legal action was taken against the man, upon orders from senior officers his office was searched and police found a bottle of booze.

He has been referred to the Shamiya Police Station.
