‘Pious-look’ Egyptian carpenter flees with 19 clients money
KUWAIT CITY, July 17: The Mubarak Al-Kabir police have arrested an unidentified Egyptian carpenter for cheating many citizens, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the complainants the suspect promised to make furniture and after receiving advance money did the disappearing trick.
The man was reportedly wearing a long beard and portrayed as a pious man.
Police then set a trap for the man and caught him in Khaitan.
The man was picked up from a police lineup by his victims. During interrogation he admitted to cheating 19 people. He has been referred to the authorities.
Kuwaiti arrested: Members of the Special Duty Squad affiliated to the Interior Ministry have arrested a Kuwaiti man for possessing drugs and narcotic pills, reports Al-Anba daily.
The man was arrested on suspicion because the car was parked in an awkward manner and the lights inside the car were on.
Police have seized from the car narcotic pills, drug consuming tools and pieces of hashish.
After the man was referred to the concerned authorities, he claimed the drugs were for his personal use.
