130,000 expats to get meningitis shots Project cost said to be KD 250,000-750,000
KUWAIT CITY, July 23: Head of Anti-Epidemics Unit at Ministry of Health Dr Mosa’ab Al-Saleh has announced that the ministry is planning to vaccinate approximately 130,000 expatriates against meningitis in an effort to eliminate the spread of the infectious disease among expatriates, reports Al-Horriya daily.
In a press statement, Al-Saleh revealed that the ministry is currently conducting a study to estimate the total cost for the implementation of the plan, adding that the estimated annual cost of the vaccination may range between KD 250,000 to KD 750,000.
Al-Saleh further revealed that the concerned committees would hold a meeting after the Eid festival to further discuss the plan, adding that the plan would definitely be finalized before the end of this year.
