KUWAIT CITY, July 23: Kuwaiti shooters Fuhaid Al-Daihani, Abdullah Al-Tarqi Al-Rashidi, Talal Al-Rashidi and Maryam Erzouqi, who qualified for the 2012 Olympics, have arrived safely in London, says Secretary General of the Kuwait Shooting Sports Club (KSSC) Obeid Manahi Al-Asimi.
In a press statement Monday, Al-Asimi disclosed a camp has been set up for the Kuwaiti shooters to prepare for the competition. He admitted the competition is tough as many athletes from several countries are vying for the championship medals. He affirmed the people of Kuwait trust the ability of the Kuwaiti athletes to succeed in the 2012 London Olympics. He said the Kuwaiti shooters are ready to compete in the big event as each of them has vowed to their best in representing Kuwait in the international competition.
Al-Asimi also expressed his gratitude to HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah for his unwavering support to the KSSC in its bid to overcome all obstacles that the Kuwaiti athletes might face in any competition.
