KUWAIT CITY, July 27: A 32-year-old Indian expatriate sustained severe wounds at various places of his body when a stray dog attacked him at a chalet in Bneidar recently.
According to an eyewitness, the dog suddenly pounced on the victim and attacked him by biting him at various places of his body until some people intervened to force the dog away from the victim.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location when they received information about the incident.
Paramedics referred the victim to Intensive Care Unit of Adan Hospital for treatment as he was in a critical condition.

Legs ‘amputated’: An unidentified Asian man who lost his lower limbs in a road accident when a Kuwaiti man ran over him has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Jahra Hospital, reports Al-Anba daily.
According to security sources the victim’s car broke down on a road and he pulled over the side of the road and went to open the boot of his car.
A reckless Kuwaiti man reportedly drove into the rear of the car ‘amputating’ both the legs of the victim.
The Kuwaiti has been arrested and referred to the authorities.

Maid threatens sponsor: Police are looking for an unidentified Filipino maid for allegedly threatening to kill her sponsor, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
According to security sources this happened when the Kuwaiti filed an absconding report on his maid with the Sabah Al-Salem Police Station following which the maid sent a text message to her employer threatening to kill him.
A travel ban has been imposed on the maid.

Citizen tries to end life: A 40-year-old Kuwaiti who tried in vain to end his life by consuming pesticide inside his home has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital, reports Al-Anba daily.
Acting on information the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior dispatched paramedics to the house and rushed the man to the hospital.
According to the victim’s wife the man is burdened by debts and that affected his mental balance and he decided to end his life.
