Patrolmen face summons as Filipina rape probe continues
KUWAIT CITY, July 28: Securitymen will soon summon all patrol officers who were on duty during the day a Filipino woman was raped by two patrol officers, and line them up for the victim to identify the rapists, reports Al-Rai daily quoting security sources.
It was published earlier that two patrol officers stopped a taxi for investigations and forced the Filipino passenger into the police vehicle, after which they took her to a remote location and raped her. Following the incident, the victim filed a case against the patrol officers at the nearest police station.
Sources revealed that investigations to identify the patrol officers have been ongoing to arrest them.
They added that during investigations, securitymen collected the details of all patrol officers who were on the duty on the day of the incident and summoned them to the police station so that the victim can identify the rapists.
Cash stolen from company: Police are looking for an unidentified person for breaking into a tyre company in Jahra and stealing KD 600 cash, reports Al-Rai daily.
Acting on information personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department rushed to the spot and lifted fingerprints to identify the thief.
