Iranian ‘khubuz’ makes men, women sterile ?

KUWAIT CITY, July 29: The Kuwait Municipality, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and the Ministry of Health have denied reports about shutting down Iranian bakeries following reports they are using yeast which contains a substance that make men and women sterile, reports Annahar daily.
The daily added the rumors were spread like wild fire through SMS and Internet websites.

Death probed: Police are conducting investigations into the mysterious death of an unidentified Kuwaiti man who was found in a pool of blood inside the bathroom of his home in Bayan, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to security sources the death was discovered by the victim’s brother and he immediately informed the Operations Department of the Interior Ministry. The remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics.

Girl attempts suicide: A 17-year-old Kuwaiti girl who tried in vain to end her life by swallowing a large quantity of medicine pills has been referred to the Adan hospital, reports Al-Shahed daily. A case of suicide attempt has been registered against her.

Police fired at: Police are looking for three men for exchanging fire with police, reports Al-Shahed daily.
This happened when the suspects attempted to break into a money exchange company in Salhiya and when they sensed the presence of police they drove off in a Jeep.
Police chased the thieves until they reached Al-Riqei. The thieves then opened fire on the police, abandoned the Jeep and escaped on foot.
Police then lifted fingerprints from the vehicle. However, when checked the plate number of the vehicle, they discovered it was reported stolen.
