Arab expat practicing sorcery for long time nabbed
KUWAIT CITY, July 31: The Farwaniya police have arrested an Arab man for practicing sorcery inside his apartment, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on information put the man under surveillance, set a trap for him and caught him red-handed.
After he was taken to a police station, during interrogations he said he had been practicing this trade for several years.
He also said most of his clients are women.
Infiltrator caught: Personnel from the General Department for Border Security have arrested an Eritrean man for infiltrating into the country from the northern border of the country, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The intruder was spotted by CCTV cameras and the alert system. A police patrol then combed the area and seized the man. He has been handed over to the concerned authorities.
Army man robbed: Police are looking for an unidentified person for impersonating police and robbing a military man working for the Ministry of Defence, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The suspect is said to have stolen the wallet of the man containing ATM and then withdrew the money from his account.
The incident happened in Sabah Al-Salam. In his complaint to the police the complainant said the suspect was armed with a knife.
The military man noted down the license plate number of the car and informed police.
Grocer beaten, robbed: Police are looking for six unidentified persons for breaking into a grocery shop in Fintas, assaulting the salesman and stealing KD 650 cash and prepaid cards worth KD 350, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Indian shot, hurt: An Indian man has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the Jahra Hospital with a gunshot wound, reports Al-Anba daily.
Apparently the bullet was fired from an air gun and it pierced the man’s chest causing him serious injuries.
According to security sources a Kuwaiti saw the victim lying in front of his home in Al-Qasr and took him to the hospital.
