Dr Salwa reveals overseas medical treatment scandals ‘Kuwaiti patients must be given equal rights’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3: Member of Parliament Dr Salwa Al-Jassar continued to reveal scandals related to overseas medical treatment, as she questioned the Minister of Health Dr Ali Al-Obaidi about the secret behind his submissiveness to the demands of ‘noisy MPs,’ reports Al-Seyassah daily

Dr Salwa via twitter had asked the Minister of Health about the conditions for ‘’inner ears’’ implants (cochlea).

According to the MP, some medical conditions were rejected, while others were referred for overseas treatment. She wanted to know the prerequisites for selecting the patients who were sent for treatment abroad.

She wondered why those patients were referred overseas while inner-ear implants can be done in Kuwait, doubting the minister’s submissiveness to the demands of those noisy MPs.

Dr Salwa ended her tweets by saying Kuwaiti patients must be given equal rights to medical treatment because they all deserve that right.
