KUWAIT CITY, Aug 3:: An Ethiopian housemaid committed suicide, Thursday, inside the bathroom of Al-Naeem police station in Jahra.
Reportedly, the housemaid was arrested earlier for trying to commit suicide at her sponsor’s house. A case of suicide attempt was registered against her and she was referred to Psychiatric Hospital for treatment of psychological disorder.
According to sources, after she was released from the hospital, she was referred to police custody on charge of suicide attempt. However, she managed to hang herself from the ceiling of the bathroom using her ‘hijab’ and died.
The police officer on duty at the station discovered the corpse inside the bathroom while he was on his regular inspection tour of the station.
The corpse was referred to the Forensics Department for autopsy.

2 women fight in mall: Acting on information police rushed to a well-known commercial mall in Fahaheel and separated two fighting young women — a Kuwaiti and an Egyptian, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
According to security sources the women were fighting over a right to try a dress inside the trial room.
Both were involved in an argument and the Kuwaiti woman ended up punching the Egyptian in the eye.
When police arrived the problem was solved amicably. The Egyptian also refused to file a complaint with the police against the Kuwaiti woman after the latter apologized for what she had done.
