Burials to be held at night Too hot in Ramadan
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 4: Religious organizations and several individuals approved the decision taken by Kuwait Municipal Council to conduct burial ceremonies in the night particularly during the month of Ramadan, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The Municipal Council made this decision by taking into consideration the blistering weather experienced in Kuwait with temperatures exceeding 50 degrees Celsius, particularly during the period when burial ceremonies are usually conducted.
The religious groups emphasized facilitating the cemeteries with cool-water dispensers and sufficient lighting for ease while performing burial rituals.
There have been several reports recently of people fainting due to sunstroke during burial ceremonies, particularly since they are observing the Ramadan fast.
