Police hunt trio for raping two maids, stealing cash
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 4: Police are looking for three unidentified men who broke into a Kuwaiti’s house in South Surra and raped two housemaids before escaping with KD 200 cash, reports Al-Rai daily.
The two maids during questioning had said the thieves threatened them with knives and raped them.
A case has been registered for investigation.
Lankan assaulted: A Sri Lankan woman sustained multiple injuries when an unidentified person assaulted her in Hawally.
Securitymen were dispatched to the location shortly after the Operations Room at the Interior Ministry received information about a brawl in the area. When they arrived at the scene, they found the woman lying on the ground with injuries in different parts of her body. She was admitted to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the actual circumstances leading to the fight and to arrest the woman’s assailant.
Oil burns woman: A 48-year-old Kuwaiti woman suffered burns in different parts of her body when hot cooking oil accidentally splattered on her while she was cooking in her house in Egaila.
Paramedics rushed to the location immediately after the Operations Room received information on the incident. The woman was taken to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital.
