Prayer-leader stabbed - Old dispute 23 cars seized, 32 traffic citations issued

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 6: The Imam at Amer Bin Fuheira Mosque in Riqqa sustained injuries when an unidentified man stabbed him during Fajr prayers Monday.
Eyewitnesses said the suspect entered the mosque, stabbed the Imam with a knife and then turned himself in at Riqqa Police Station. The Imam was taken to Adan Hospital.
Initial investigations revealed suspect attacked the Imam due to earlier disputes.

23 cars seized, 32 traffic citations issued: A team of officers from the Ahmadi Security Directorate recently launched a surprise inspection campaign in different parts of the governorate, resulting in the arrest of one unidentified person wanted by law for his involvement in a security-related crime and five expatriates who violated the Residency Law.
In a press statement Monday, the Interior Ministry revealed that during the campaign, the officers also confiscated 21 vehicles from those who were performing stunts on the road.
They issued 32 traffic citations and impounded two vehicles used in committing crimes and all the impounded vehicles were referred to the garage for confiscated vehicles in Abdullah Port.
The ministry said it will continue holding such campaigns throughout the country to track down criminals and to guarantee the people’s safety.
