KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: According to US and British reports money which has been collected in the form of donations and charity in Kuwait will find its way to the terrorist organizations, reports Al-Horriya.
According to security sources in Kuwait, the authorities have reportedly said they will receive detailed reports this month on money sent to some countries which sponsor terrorism.
The sources said the reports will include details on money collected by mosques or offered by some religious institutions and some societies. This money will be donated next October through a number of people including well-known religious personalities.
Meanwhile, the Administration Director of Charitable Organizations and Associations at Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor Bader Al-Awadhi revealed that the committee that is responsible for monitoring the charitable activities in the country during Ramadan registered two violations against an undisclosed charitable association, reports Al-Horriya daily.
Al-Awadhi said the first violation was issued against the association for conducting private classes on Arabic language and Islamic studies without obtaining the required license, while the second violation was issued for collecting donations without obtaining permission from the concerned authorities.
He stressed that the department will take appropriate action against such violations by cancelling the license of the association to operate and so on.
