KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: A youth was summoned to Mubarak Al-Kabeer police station recently for demanding KD 15,000 from a girl and threatening to circulate some of her pictures if she did not pay him the amount.

Reportedly, the suspect called the victim everyday to blackmail her and eventually, she approached her mother and admitted that she used to be in a relationship with the suspect, during which he had taken some pictures of her. When she revealed to her mother that he started blackmailing her for KD 15,000 after she broke up with him and threatened that he will circulate her pictures to the public to scandalize her reputation, the mother rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint against the youth.

The youth was summoned to the police station for interrogations, during which he denied the accusations.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to unravel the truth behind the accusations.
