Iran suicidal in ‘Sinai’ bid

NOW that the regional doors and international windows have been closed in the face of Iran, it has started trying to use the Egypt-Palestine borders as a backdoor to show it can still influence regional politics and exert power outside whenever it feels like it. Iran has chosen the Sinai desert as its backdoor; oblivious to the fact that any terrorist operation on the Egypt-Palestine borders will only lead to further humiliation because the mask, which the terrorists had used to cover themselves, had Iran’s signature all over it.

The recent Sinai terrorist operation, which resulted in the death of 16 Egyptian soldiers, has only given Israel more reasons to play a bigger security role in the Sinai desert and to weaken Egypt’s control over the area. Obviously, the Persian intelligence was involved in this operation as the words ‘Revolutionary Guard’ were written all over it. This is the same Revolutionary Guard that has failed in almost all aspects of the ‘game’ in Syria, Bahrain, Lebanon and Iraq because its strategies have backfired. Even in Yemen, the mask worn by Houthi terrorist group fell off to reveal the evil side of Iran.

However, Iran failed to realize its objectives during the terrorist operation in Sinai. It will never achieve its goals because Egypt is a resolute country, unlike Lebanon in which decisions related to its future have been hijacked by the Hezbollah. Egypt has the ability to protect its borders even at its weakest moments. Iran and its supporters in Palestine can never change this reality about Egypt.

Iran has been interfering in the internal affairs of other Arab and Islamic countries since 1979 by committing political and social crimes. Iran has stirred sedition in Lebanon, Iraq and many other nations in a desperate attempt to control the fate of these countries. Iran is now trying to fix its distorted image through the bullying tactics used by Saeed Jalali in Beirut, as well as its promises to the Syrian regime and the terrorist operation in Sinai desert. Whatever Tehran does, it will never succeed because it is like a snake biting itself for lack of something else to bite. Indeed, the international community can no longer tolerate the troubles and destruction caused by the ‘snakes’ of the Tehran regime.
