Stamps, bills stolen from shop
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 9: A Pakistani, who works for a commercial establishment in Fahaheel, has reported to the Fahaheel Police Station about the stealing of stamps and bills from the shop by unknown persons.
The Pakistani told police he kept the stamps and bills in a secured place; hence, he has no idea how the items were stolen. Police lifted fingerprints and investigation underway to identify the thieves.
Pakistani found dead: A Pakistani man, in his 40s, was found dead along a street in Bneid Al-Gar.
Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Interior Ministry received a call from a passerby who found the man lying unconscious on the road. Upon arrival at the scene, the rescuers checked the man’s condition and they discovered he was already dead. His remains were referred to Forensics, which revealed the man died some days ago.
Investigations are in progress to unravel the mystery behind the man’s death.
Iftar meals sold for 1/2 KD: A Kuwaiti businesswoman has filed a complaint with the police accusing her Egyptian employee of breach of trust.
In her complaint the woman said she had entrusted the man to distribute free meals to poor people on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and she discovered by chance the man was selling each packet of food for 500 fils. He has been handed over to the authorities.
Construction materials stolen: The legal representative of a construction company filed a complaint at Adan Police Station against some unidentified persons who allegedly stole construction materials from the project site of the company in Messila.
The complainant told police the company’s security guard informed him that some construction materials were missing, so a thorough investigation was opened to identify the thieves.
Drunk held in army attire: An unidentified drunk man wearing military attire was arrested recently inside the compound of State Security Building after a long chase by securitymen.
According to security sources, police on patrol in South Surra suspected a vehicle that was parked on the wrong side of the road. As they approached the vehicle, the driver sped away and refused to stop when the securitymen flagged him to stop. They pursued him until he entered the compound of State Security building, where they managed to catch him.
When they arrested him, they discovered he was drunk and they referred him to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
