Iraqi assaults Jordanian woman after she rejected his advances
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 9: A Jordanian woman was assaulted by her Iraqi neighbor when she refused to acknowledge his attempts to woo her.
Reportedly, the victim lodged a complaint at Salwa police station against the suspect and presented a medical report to indicate that her right collarbone was fractured due to the assault.
She stated in the complaint that she was initially unaware that the suspect was her neighbor and when stepped out of her house in Salwa, she found the suspect standing on the road and he tried to woo her.
However, when she rebuffed him and tried to escape in her vehicle, he followed her and forced her to stop near a bank in Salwa. He then assaulted her, causing the fracture of her right collarbone and other injuries.
The victim later recognized him by his vehicle when she saw him in the vicinity of her residence and discovered that he was her neighbor.
A case of assault was registered against the suspect at Public Prosecution and the culprit was summoned to the police station for interrogations.
