Kuwait International Airport employees appeal for ‘help’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: The Kuwait International Airport (KIA) employees who are subjected to pressure and abuse have appealed to the General Coordinator of their labor union and head of the union of civil servants in the Ministry of Interior Bader Al-Anzi and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Ahmed Hmoud Al-Sabah to intervene immediately to resolve their problems, reports Al-Qabas daily.

Anzi said in a press statement pressure is exerted particularly on female employees to work night shifts, who citing family reasons have voiced their inability to work late at night and until morning.

Anzi said he is confident intervention from higher authorities will help solve the problem and end the sufferings of the employees because the concerned senior officials have already started punishing those who are not willing to work night shifts.
