KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: The security authorities have arrested a 20-year-old Kuwaiti for kidnapping and raping an unidentified Filipino woman inside an apartment in Salmiya, reports Annahar daily.
According to the complainant the suspect befriended her when she was shopping and offered to drop her to her home. After the victim got into the vehicle he reportedly drove her to an apartment in Salmiya and raped her.
The complainant then directed the police to the apartment where she was raped. When police went to the apartment they found the suspect under the influence of alcohol.

Woman reports husband: A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the police accusing her husband of beating and verbally abusing her following an altercation between them, reports Al-Qabas daily.
She has submitted a medical report showing injuries on her body.
The husband has been summoned for interrogation.

Chief threatened: One of the directors from the Ministry of Awkaf and Islamic Affairs has filed a complaint with the Fahaheel Police Station accusing one of the employees of verbally insulting him and threatening to cause him harm, reports Al-Rai daily.
According to the complainant he disagreed with the suspect the method he had adopted in completing the task which was given to him, however, after the work was done, he was shocked when the employee telephoned him and hurled insults at him and also threatened to cause him harm.
When the employee was summoned for interrogation, he denied the charge.
