KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16: A 14-year-old lad is said to have raped an 8-year old boy near a power transformer at Qraiwan area.
Father of the victim filed a case with policemen in Qraiwan to report the incident. He narrated his child had gone to a mosque to pray when the suspect lured him to the power transformer and raped him. Afterward, the child went home in tears and told his father about the ordeal. A case was registered against the suspect, and they have since been referred to juvenile prosecution.

Six stab youth: Police are looking for six unidentified youths for stabbing another youth in the back, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
A police source said the incident happened in a suburb of Fahd Al-Ahmad when another youth was involved in an argument with an elderly person inside a mosque.
The youth waited for the old man to leave the mosque and assaulted him. When the son rushed to the rescue of his father, the suspects stabbed him in the back and escaped.

Police arrest arsonist: Police have arrested an unidentified person for setting fire to a car and houses in Sulaibiya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily quoting security sources said police acting on information exerted tremendous efforts and caught the man red-handed while attempting to set fire to the house of a neighbor.
According to security sources, the man is suffering from psychological problems.
He has been referred to the concerned authorities.
Meanwhile, a few minutes before breaking the fast, residents of Block (2) in Taima heard a loud explosion followed by thick pall of smoke coming from a car which was on fire, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Acting on information firemen rushed to the scene and put out the fire. The car was totally damaged. According to reliable sources a similar incident had occurred in the same block earlier.

1 dies in mosque: An unidentified Kuwaiti woman died on the night of Al-Qiyam (Night Prayer) inside a mosque in Jaber Al-Ali, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Acting on information that a woman had lost consciousness, police and paramedics rushed to the spot but could do little to rescue the woman.
Her remains have been referred to Forensics.

Police nab impersonator: Kuwaiti youth has been arrested for impersonating police and harassing some two girls, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
Apparently, the girls were traveling in a car when the imposter ordered they must stop for checking. He had asked them to show their IDs, but the girls refused and sped off as the youth refused to show his credentials.
Meanwhile, he chased the girls to their home, where three of their brothers exchanged blows with him.
Police rushed to the scene and discovered the youth is an employee of the Ministry of Housing. He has since been referred to the concerned authority for further investigation.
