Citizen of Gulf state ‘earns’ KD 12,000 by trading in visas Police arrest man involved in armed robberies, rape

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: Plainclothes policemen have arrested a citizen of an unidentified Gulf state for trafficking in visas. He was allegedly bringing in labor from an unidentified country in return for money using his business licence, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily added police acting on information set a trap for him and caught him in his mother’s house in Sulaibiya.
Police investigations revealed the man had ‘earned’ KD 12,000 from his illicit trade.
He has been handed over to the concerned authorities.

‘Mastermind’ arrested: Police have arrested an unidentified mastermind of a seven-man gang who reportedly put up fierce resistance before finally he was taken into custody, reports Al-Shahed daily.
According to security sources the man was involved in an armed robbery. Police have reportedly seized from the man .9mm pistol, ammunition and stolen jewelry.
According to security sources, Director of Jahra Investigation Department formed a team of plainclothes securitymen who set a trap for the suspect and arrested him inside his house. He is believed to be a bedoun.
According to security sources the man was wanted by law in dozens of armed robberies and in addition to breaking into several homes in different parts of the country, raping a Filipino maid and looting her sponsor’s house in South Surra.
The sources added that the defendant has been referred to the General Administration of Criminal Investigation.
