Kuwaiti juveniles attack 50 yr old Indian expat Syrian trucker held at border post with 69 kilos of hashish

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: Two Kuwaiti juveniles attacked and severely injured a 50-year old Indian expatriate at a commercial complex in Salwa area.
The youths reportedly escaped after the incident, but security operatives have registered a case and investigation is ongoing to trail them.

Worker falls from building: A 32-year-old Egyptian fainted and fell from at an under-construction building in Mahboula area.
A team of rescue men rushed to the site after the victim’s colleagues reported the incident to the Operations Room.
During interrogation, his fellow workers at the site claimed the man suffered heat stroke and fell from the building, as he fainted.

Son reported ‘missing’: An Arab expatriate in his 40s filed a report in Salmiya police station saying his son has been missing since Thursday.
Security sources said the boy left home after a quarrel with the father and has since refused to come back home after three days.
The father said he searched for the son at his friends’ home in vain, and his mobile phone has been switched off. The search for the boy is ongoing.

69-kg hashish seized: Customs officers at the Abdali Border Post have arrested an unidentified Syrian man for attempting to smuggle into the country 69 kilos of hashish by hiding the drug in his truck, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the authorities acting on a tip-off lay in wait for the suspect to arrive at the post and seized the drugs upon instructions of the Director of the General Department for Customs Ibrahim Al-Ghanim.
