Moroccan wife handed over; 50-yr-old harasses woman

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: Police have arrested an unidentified Moroccan wife of a Kuwaiti man who is believed to be in her 20s after the husband had filed a missing persons report on her at the Hawalli Police Station, reports Al-Rai daily.
During interrogation the wife said she escaped from the house because the husband was mean and was harassing her.
She has been handed over to the husband. It has been reported the Moroccan was staying with her friend in Salmiya after escaping from the house of her husband.


50-yr-old harasses woman: Police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti man, who is believed to be in his 50s, holding a respectable job for allegedly calling a compatriot woman and harassing her, reports Al-Rai daily.
The arrest came after the woman filed a complaint with the South Surra Police Station and handed over the suspect’s telephone number.
However, police are still investing the issue.

Bid to smuggle foodstuff: The Kuwait Coast Guard department recently foiled an attempt by five Iranian dhows to smuggle foodstuff into the country, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The daily quoting security sources said the Coast Guard radar showed the vessels entering Kuwait’s territorial waters. They were intercepted in mid-sea and after checking the contents of the boats the Coast Guard personnel found they were loaded with foodstuff but none of them carried documents to prove their legal entry.
The boats with the goods are moored at the Doha Port pending investigation.
