500 patrol officers to be deployed during the Eid Emergency medical system readied for ops
KUWAIT CITY, Aug 18, (Agencies): Minis-try of Interior has decided to deploy 500 patrol officers at various shopping areas, entertainment centers and public parks during Eid holidays, reports Al-Anba daily quoting an informed source.
He revealed that the ministry took this decision after receiving several reports about hooligans harassing citizens and expatriates in public places.
He stressed that the ministry is working on applying sufficient security measures at such public places to ensure the safety of the public during the holidays.
Meanwhile, acting Undersecretary of Ministry of Health Dr Khaled Al-Sahlawi says the emergency medical system has been readied for operations during the Eid holidays and 32 aid centers and ambulances distributed in different areas of the country will be active 24 hours a day with officers posted at different areas throughout these holidays, reports Al-Rai daily.
He indicated that ambulances and mobile clinics will be stationed at public places such as entertainment centers to cover any emergency medical situations.
He also, announced that a medical clinic will be established at Khairan Park as well as a clinic in Khairan to provide health services to the residents of the area.
Furthermore, he indicated that the Ministry of Interior and the Directorate General for Fire Services will coordinate to cover all emergency cases in the Kuwaiti island.
In another news, the Municipal Council’s teams would be removing any illegal advertisements and billboards celebrating Eid Al-Fitar and would also tackle unauthorized acts of cattle slaughter, said Director General of the Council Ahmad Al-Subeeh Saturday.
Al-Subeeh told KUNA that any violation to the law would result in legal pursuit against perpetrators. He called on citizens to take the correct measures in regards to posting advertisements and billboards celebrating Eid.
In regards to the cattle slaughter, Al-Subeeh urged people to head to the municipality slaughterhouse to ensure the safety of meat.
