Travel ban - non payment of fees to a mobile telephone company.
I have a travel ban due to non payment of fees to a mobile telephone company.
This was a prepaid Internet account I had with them and I had completed the contract duration. I had called to cancel the service and the rep had told me that it had been cancelled, but they now say they have no record of the same and that Internet cannot be cancelled over the phone.
Their complaint department is only open from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm and it is not possible for me to take leave from work just now.
They might have sent me messages, but I am in the habit of deleting all messages from the mobile companies since all of them are for advertisements of products or services.
I feel it unjust to pay for their mistakes and to have a travel ban for the same, but do not know what recourse to take.

Answer: You can have the travel ban lifted only after the issue is settled with this mobile telecom company. The problem won't go away just because you don't have time to go to the company's office and settle the issue. So, visit that company and it is only then – if the firm is satisfied – they will have the ban lifted. The only other way is challenge the firm in a court of law.
