Real Custodian
THANK YOU, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for your support for Kuwait which is part of your debt towards your brothers and the Arabian Gulf. The big brother always keeps vigil to ensure stability in his Kingdom and this brothers and never shies away from his responsibilities but offers support and gives a helping hand to those in need. You are doing this because you are fully aware of the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) who urges us to support our brothers — the oppressor or the oppressed.
You also work for the Muslim Umma keeping in mind that Muslims are like one compact structure. You have always been initiating the best for the interest of this region and the Umma.
Your Majesty, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, we know when the Bahraini Prime Minister Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa and his powerful delegation visited you during the unrest in Manama you bluntly told them ‘You are late because I was expecting this visit a long time ago’.
You made this statement because you had been following up the situation with keen interest and were extremely sad when a few weak-hearted people tried to run down the country for selfish reasons.
The historical position adopted by the GCC states with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the forefront played a vital role in bringing the situation under control.
This happened by guaranteeing protection for the Gulf states under the banner of ‘the Peninsula Shield’ which threw its support behind the Bahraini forces while at the same time giving diplomacy its rightful position to given the world the impression that the incident in Bahrain was a plan to bring anarchy to the GCC states.
This was the same plan that the UAE and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia exposed. Now Kuwait is passing through a similar phase. Unfortunately, some “GCC citizens fell for suspicious foreign agendas which has always been playing a role that contradicts with the reality of our countries.
However, the wisdom of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz and his brothers in the GCC countries has poured cold water on the evil deeds of the weak minded people. It has protected our national and regional security and thwarted efforts of some governments which are exerting efforts day and night to export their internal crisis to the outside world under the slogan ‘Export of Revolution’ or ‘Islamic Spring’ and several other slogans which look genuine from the outside but the contents are well-known to all.
They make a lot of noise to prevent exposure of the reality of their slogans. This noise has failed to instill fright while the silence of noble people although effective is sometimes worrisome but these fears are allayed when people realize that the noble people act with wisdom and foresight to overcome the noise.
Frankly speaking, evil does not have an identity. No matter what color the mask, evil is always evil irrespective whether the source is the Mullah government in Tehran or the Muslim Brotherhood movement, al-Qaeda or Hezbollah ... all of them are terrorists.
They agree to destabilize the security and stability of the Gulf states in places where “the Arab Spring has failed to materialize” because they always enjoy the spring of justice, equality and consultation between leaders and their subjects. All this happens due to the open-door policy where leaders deal directly with their subjects without intermediaries.
The security is a blessing that is known only by those who have lost it. Here we want to quote a statement made recently by the British Prime Minister ‘Whenever the national security is in danger don’t ask me about human rights.’ This is because whenever the security is shaken the country collapses under its weight and anarchy reigns supreme.
The security of the Gulf nations is interconnected. When one of them suffers from this malady others feel the impact. Therefore they must all join hands to treat whoever is indisposed among them.
Our countries are like fingers of the same hand. When these fingers hold a sword they hit hard whoever tries to push them towards instability, destruction and anarchy.
Your Majesty, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, your telephone call to assure that our country is fine is immensely appreciated by entire Kuwait - HH the Amir, the government and the citizens.
It was an expression of historic relationship and strong bonds of brotherhood between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia which continues to deepen every day... Thank you, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques — one thousand times.
