KUWAIT CITY, Nov 2: Police rushed to the home of a Kuwaiti man in Waha after the Operations Room received a hoax call about two dead bodies inside the house and foul smell emanating from there.
Sources said the Kuwaiti man told the officers his ex-wife had allegedly made the call in retaliation for getting married that day, when securitymen arrived at the location to verify the situation. The case has been registered for investigation to identify the caller.
Meanwhile, a four-year old Kuwaiti child died after he was knocked down by a Kuwaiti motorist. The man is reported to have carried the child to a clinic after the accident, but was told he had already died. The man submitted himself to the police, and a case was registered against him.
In another incident, an Egyptian expatriate in his 30s sustained fractures and other injuries when he was ran over by a speeding motorist on Airport Road. Paramedics referred the victim to Farwaniya hospital for treatment.
And 24-year old Indian national got injured with serious fractures when he was hit by a vehicle on Canada Dry Street in Shuwaikh. He was carried to Sabah Hospital for treatment.
