KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested four men in connection with the theft of jewelry worth KD 7,000 from the home of an unidentified Kuwaiti man from Sulaibiya, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the theft occurred when the man was visiting his relatives in Kuwait. When he returned home he found someone had broken into his house and stolen the jewelry. The daily added police investigations led securitymen to one of the suspects. He was taken into custody from his home and during interrogation at a police station, he admitted to committing the crime. He also gave police the names of the three other accomplices. After they were arrested they admitted to the charge. It has been reported the thieves sold the jewelry to various shops in Mubarakiya and gold shops in Jahra and spent all the money on hiring posh cars and buying latest model cell phones. Meanwhile police have arrested a 40-year-old Kuwaiti man for committing a financial fraud worth KD 5,000, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The man was arrested on suspicion while driving along a road in Wafra. He has been referred to the authorities.
