KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: During a raid on a stable in Mina Abdullah, personnel from the Ahmadi Security Directorate Thursday have arrested some youths and impounded 23 cars which were being used by them for holding races, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily added these cars are neither road worthy nor they are registered with the General Traffic Department.
It has been reported the stable was also being used as a workshop and police have also taken into custody an unidentified student who came to park his car. It turned out that the car had been reported stolen by its owner.
All those arrested have been referred to the authorities.
Citizens, expatriates injured in road accidents : An Indian in his thirties sustained injuries and his bus overturned in a two-vehicle collision on the 5th Ring Road opposite Avenues Mall on Thursday.
Security officials and paramedics rushed to the scene on receiving information about the incident and referred the victim to Farwaniya Hospital. A case was registered.
Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti citizen sustained injuries when his vehicle rammed into a lamppost opposite Shaab Park.
He was referred to Mubarak Hospital by paramedics and a case was registered.
Another two-vehicle collision resulted in the injury of a Kuwaiti citizen and an Egyptian national.

In another story, a Kuwaiti citizen in his forties sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision in Andalous.
He was referred to Farwaniya Hospital and a case was registered.
In yet another story, an Iranian expatriate sustained several injuries when his motorbike collided with a vehicle belonging to an Indian national.
He was referred to Amiri Hospital by paramedics and a case was registered.
In an unrelated incident, a two-vehicle collision resulted in the injury of a Kuwaiti citizen aged 23 years.
He was referred to Farwaniya Hospital by paramedics and a case was registered.
A three-vehicle collision on 4th Ring Road resulted in the injury of a Kuwaiti citizen in his forties.
He was referred to Sabah Hospital by paramedics and a case was registered.
Also, a vehicle overturned on the 6th Ring Road, resulting in the injury of a Jordanian expatriate aged 33 years.
Security officials and paramedics rushed to the scene on receiving information about the incident and referred him to the nearest hospital.
A case was registered and an initial investigations revealed the accident occurred after the Jordanian lost control of his vehicle — that was traveling at a high speed — due to a flat tire.
